Who am I?
… last updated January, 2021
First and foremost, I’m a family man. I love my wife and my son and all the time that we get to spend together. Leslie and I have been married 10 years now! We feel very lucky to have one great kid too – our son, Reece.
I’m a Rochester, NY native and most of my family, and my wife’s, still resides there. We made a huge life decision in 2016 when we decided to move our little family to Westminster, CO in search of sunshine, new experiences, and the great outdoor life.
My college years were spent at Penn State – The Behrend College in Erie, PA. Soccer and Mechanical Engineering courses filled my days for those four years – Class of 1998.
What’s my day job?
For the last 20 years, I’ve worked at Javlyn as a Food Process Engineer. My specialty is in piping process design – any food product that can be pumped through a pipe: milk, juice, yogurt, pudding, beer, cream cheese, … you get the idea.
As a Food Process Engineer, I get to travel around to the different food manufacturing facilities to help customers find solutions to their problems. That’s basically what an engineer does, solve problems.
I now spend my office time working from my home office. I’m the resident CAD expert for our company and over the last eight years I’ve also become the 3D modeling guru. It’s really satisfying to create a true-to-life model of something that doesn’t even exist yet! AutoCAD and Revit is the primary software that I use daily to make the magic happen… OK, maybe I got a little carried away there.
What are my hobbies?
I’ve enjoyed a number of hobbies over the years, and I’m hoping to share some of those experiences with those that are interested in following along here. Enjoy, and I look forward to hearing from you. Feedback is always welcome.
Good day sir.
I believe I saw the Pinterest ladder you based your design on. I like your steps better and the overall look. I have been building a barndo for 4 years now stsrting from raw land with trees and no services. will follow your plans when I get to that project. I am taping and mudding now, then paint, then ladder and hand rails. Thank you very much for taking the time to write up the details and adding images.
Thanks, Scott. I appreciate your kind words. Good luck on your project!
