I’ve done a lot of home remodeling. It’s probably my biggest “hobby”, if you can call it that. My Dad is the one that got it started. We were always working on projects together around the house when I was growing up.
Then, I bought my first house in 2002. I think that my realtor thought I was crazy. It was probably the biggest piece of junk that I looked at, but I saw the potential. And so, the sweat equity began… and continued… until the day we sold it in June, 2016 for more than double what I had originally paid for it.
I remodeled the entire house, from top to bottom. It was a lot of work (and money), but the reward was a house that was exactly the way I wanted it. My wife and I loved that house. If we could have moved that house with us to Colorado, we would have.
Instead, a new remodel began at our new fixer-upper house in Westminster, CO. What can I say? I love making a house my own! I’ve even started doing handyman projects for others now too. I’ll add more albums as the projects move along, so check back in!
